Magento 2 store hours: show your opening hours, always up to date

On a Magento site, the physical store’s hours usually end up in a hand-written CMS block that nobody remembers to edit before a public holiday. The result: a website that contradicts your Google listing, and customers who travel for nothing.

The Horair module for Magento 2 replaces that block with hours that update themselves.

What the module does

  • “Horair opening hours” widget: weekly hours and upcoming special hours, to place in any page or CMS block. Options: group identical days (“Monday – Friday 09:00–19:00”), show special hours or not.
  • “Horair open/closed badge” widget: a live open/closed sign inside the page, in the style of your choice.
  • Floating badge in a corner of the screen; a click shows the week. Its look, wording and position (desktop and mobile) are set in Horair with a live preview.
  • schema.org JSON-LD added to the <head> of every page, so Google reads your hours.

Everything is computed from the hours stored in your store: no call to Horair from visitors’ browsers, no impact on performance.

Installation

  1. Download the Horair Magento module and unzip it into app/code/Horair/OpeningHours.
  2. Enable it:
bin/magento module:enable Horair_OpeningHours
bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento cache:flush
  1. In Horair, open your location → Channels → Website plugin and copy the connection key.
  2. Paste it into Stores → Configuration → General → Horair. Your hours arrive right away.
  3. Add the widget from Content → Widgets or inside a CMS block.

Requires Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce or Open Source) with PHP 8.1 or later. Translated into English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

One source for every channel

With Horair, you change your hours once (in the app, or over WhatsApp) and they’re published to Google, Facebook and your Magento site. Special dates (Christmas, public holidays, stocktaking) are scheduled ahead. For multi-store networks, each location keeps its own hours.
